- Recognize the clinical manifestations of the stages of syphilis
- Use syphilis serologic tests to diagnose syphilis
- Screen for syphilis in population with increased syphilis risk
- Treat syphilis based on stage of disease
- Monitor RPR or VDRL titers after syphilis treatment to determine response to treatment
