Professional Credit for National STD Curriculum Self-Study Lessons and Question Banks
The yellow Continuing Education box on the overview page of a lesson or question bank will specify the amount of CE available. Generally, 1.0 CE means someone can complete the activity within one hour. The Continuing Education box will also indicate which steps you have already completed to earn CE for that activity.
- Read the self-study lesson or complete the question bank topic
- Correctly answer at least 80% of a lesson’s CE quiz or 80% of the questions within a question bank topic
- Complete and submit the survey, and
- Print your CE certificate or save it as a PDF.
You can print your CE certificates on this site at any time. On the top of your progress tracker, click on the appropriate yellow box with a printer icon: “CNE Certificate” or “CME Certificate.” To update the type of CE you want to earn for future work on the site, please update your CE Profile.
If you don’t need CE but would like to earn a Certificate of Completion, follow the first three steps above, then return to the overview page for the activity and click on the “Certificate of Completion” tab in the navigation bar.
If you do not need CE or a certificate of completion, you can still complete an activity so your progress tracker will reflect your work.
Board certified physicians with the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) can concurrently earn free Maintenance of Certification (MOC) points when CME is offered for the activity. To learn more, please read the CME+MOC Notice.
